From July 14 to 16, 2025, the picturesque village of Seiano, a hamlet of Vico Equense, will host the fourth edition of Girogustando nel Borgo, an event that promises three evenings filled with authentic flavors, artistic experiences, and engaging performances.
From 7:00 p.m. to midnight, the village’s narrow streets will come alive with a food and wine tour that blends Campania’s traditions with the new frontiers of signature cuisine. More than 40 chefs—including some of the best-known names in local haute cuisine—will take center stage, presenting dishes that highlight the region’s culinary heritage.
Visitors will be able to sample exquisite creations by chefs such as Antonino D’Alessio (Quattro Passi), Giuseppe Aversa (Il Buco), Vincenzo Guarino (La Corte degli Dei), Giuseppe Guida (Antica Osteria Nonna Rosa), Domenico Iavarone (Zest), and Nicola Somma (Laqua Countryside).
It will be a true journey through the aromas and flavors that define Campania’s culinary identity, reinterpreted with creativity and talent.
Not just taste: entertainment, art, and craftsmanship
The experience will be made even more engaging by the numerous side events, carefully curated by artistic director Marco Palmieri, who emphasized that Girogustando is much more than just an event: it is a bridge between people, stories, and communities. Special recognition was given to iconic representatives of the Neapolitan culinary tradition, such as Manufood, Nennella, and Poppella, which will bring the energy and conviviality typical of Naples to the Sorrento Peninsula.
Girogustando is not just about taste, but also about culture and creativity: each evening will feature live shows, artistic performances, installations, and a lively exhibition and market showcasing the best of local crafts and regional food products.
Music, cabaret, cooking demonstrations, and traveling performances will accompany visitors along the route, offering a varied and engaging array of entertainment designed to satisfy both the most discerning palates and families seeking authentic and enjoyable experiences.
The event is the result of collaboration among local associations, institutions, and businesses. Organized by the Gens Seja APS Association, with the support of the Campania Region, the Municipality of Vico Equense, and the Sorrento Peninsula Tourism Board, Girogustando serves as a model of best practices in regional promotion.
The official presentation, held in the garden of La Tuja Relais du Parc in Seiano, was attended by government officials, industry professionals, journalists, and organizations such as Slow Food, Coldiretti, Pro Loco, and Aicast. Everyone emphasized the event’s role in shaping local identity, as it helps strengthen the bond between the community and tradition every year.
